Sarra Hawes, chair of Constructing Excellence Sussex Club said: “Marking 20 years of the Constructing Excellence London & South East Awards is a real milestone for the industry. The Awards give us the chance to recognise the incredible people, projects and organisations who are driving positive change, raising standards, and shaping the future of construction across the region.
“It is always so inspiring to see so many of our regional winners go on to achieve national recognition, proving the depth of talent, innovation and collaboration within London and the South East.”
The 2025 awards highlighted the calibre of regional achievement, with multiple winners going on to receive recognition at the Constructing Excellence National Awards. The Climate Action category was won by 2 Aldermanbury Square, delivered by Bovis, GPE, William Hare, SWECO, Keltbray, CMF, Scheldebouw, TClarke and Hotchkiss, a project which embedded sustainability from concept through delivery and subsequently won at national level. TBC.London, delivered by Willmott Dixon alongside TBC.London, Civic Engineers and Fore Partnership, transformed a 1990s office building near, Tower Bridge, into one of London’s first net zero carbon workspaces, securing both regional and national awards in the Retrofit category.
Residential Project of the Year was awarded to Acklam Road, delivered by HNW Architects, The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Morgan Sindall and project partners, which provided 32 high-quality homes and community space, combining a fabric-first approach with low-carbon technologies and achieving national recognition. In the G4C Future Leader category, Charles Lawton of JB Construction1 won regionally and was Highly Commended at the national level for his leadership and commitment to developing future talent.
Charles Lawton, G4C, Highly Commended nationally, said: “Winning the Regional G4C Future Leader Award and being Highly Commended nationally was a proud moment for me and the team at JB Construction1. This achievement reflects the collective effort of the people I work with and our shared commitment to improving how we deliver construction — through innovation, collaboration and investing in the next generation of talent. The industry continues to evolve and I’m excited to play a part in shaping its future.”
